Yawning during my holiday, searching during my idiot box, I stopped at a channel airing the movie THE LEGAND OF BHAGAT SINGH. Ok! It is better to watch something then nothing on that stupid box. So it started and I went on to see the movie till the end. There was even a great love story going on but I never thought of leaving the movie for a second in between. And till the end, I was moved to see the courage they had in them which made me to think not for a second but for my whole day long, till the end of this article. Have we achieved what they sacrificed for? Or we have just cheated on them? Rhetorical question but I sincerely thought about it. They said that it was an honour to be sacrificing their own lives for their country, no sorry, the best word would be motherland. And I truly appreciate the thought because even i had the dream to fight for the country in the war and I failed in it partially because I was not selected for the armed forces in first place but more chances to go. Leaving my sadistic story behind, what other things came in my mind? Was the Gandhi the real hero of the indian independence. Some people may think that and this might be even true but you never know the truth. But still, why do we do not remember those martyrs who did not even cross their 30s. We just declare a holiday to show our rubbish gratitude which do not even know why is it kept for. We are being so careless for our freedom. Why? Is there an answer? May be, may be not. But what we must appreciate is at least the sacrifice they gave for us. They burnt down their lives for us so we can live free. But what are we doing now? Youth of today, who don’t even know who KHUDIRAM BOSE was, feels the country to be property of their rich but mind wise poor dads. What is gonna happen???
